Reprocentre

UAB "Garsų pasaulis" offers you the complex reprography works. These are scanning (reading), layout, colour separation, production of printing positives of all types and production of control stamps. Only digital technology is used for completing all works, which enables complete control and modification of the process. The orders fulfilled by UAB "Garsų pasaulis" are of high quality since the company can invoke various equipment and technologies in this process.

 

For reprography works UAB "Garsų pasaulis" is currently using HEIDELBERG, FUJIFILM, EPSON, APPLE, GMG and GRETAG equipment:

 

  • Computers with software supported by Mac OS and Windows operating systems;
  • Laser printer FUJIFILM LUXEL F­9000;
  • Laser printer HEIDELBERG HERKULES PRO;
  • Digital control stamp printer EPSON STYLUS PRO 7600 with GMG Colorproof software;
  • Scanner Heidelberg TOPAZ 2;
  • Scanner Heidelberg SAPHIR ULTRA;
  • Special devices for the interconnection of all equipment (monitor calibration device, densitometers and spectrometers).

 

Different software is used for all reprography works which is supported by Mac OS and Windows operating systems.

 

PARAMETERS OF THE EQUIPMENT

 

Scanning:

  • Maximum scanned area - 305 mm x 457 mm (reflection), 250 mm x 457 mm (transparency);
  • Maximum height in scanning volumetric objects - up to 20 mm;
  • Maximum optical resolution - up to 8000 DPI, digital resolution - up to 10800 DPI.


Production of positives:

  • Maximum area of the produced positives/ negatives - 1059 mm x 919 mm;
  • Optical density - 3,2-5;
  • Maximum resolution - up to 5080 PDI;
  • Symmetric raster - up to 300 LPI (optimum - 150-175 LPI);
  • Asymmetric raster - 20-28 microns.

 

Control stamp: 

  • Maximum printing resolution - 1440 DPI;
  • Maximum printing width - 604 mm;
  • The length is unlimited.

 

FORMATS FOR THE SUBMITTED COMPUTER FILES

 

  • The projects can be submitted in Mac OS or Windows platforms;
  • Both "open" and "closed" files (*.ps, *.prn, *.pdf) may be submitted;
  • The programs used for the preparation of the files:
    • Adobe InDesign - up to CS3;
    • Adobe PageMaker - up to 7;
    • Adobe Illustrator - up to CS3;
    • Adobe Photoshop - up to CS3;
    • QuarkXPress - up to 7;
    • CorelDraw! - up to 12 (only for Windows);
    • Macromedia Freehand - up to Mxa (Windows), up to 9 (Mac OS);
  • "closed" (*.ps, *.prn) files may be separated by colours ("separate") or not ("composite");
  • "closed" (*.PDF) files may only be "composite";

 

REQUIREMENTS FOR THE PREPARATION OF THE COMPUTER FILES

 

  • All graphic elements and photos must be submitted in CMYK or PANTONE colour pallets;
  • Project scale 1:1;
  • Resolution - up to 400 dpi;
  • If the background of the layout covers the whole format of the product, it is required to make 1-3 mm overlaps for cutting - to extend the background;
  • If the cutting of special configuration is provided in the project it must be presented in a separate colour (e.g. "cut" (pvz., „cut") by using the "overprint" option;
  • If it is possible, convert all texts into curves;
  • All fonts and illustrations used for "open" layouts must be submitted in the separate folder;
  • Black text and minor objects located on the background must have the "overprint" option;
  • All fonts and illustrations used must be submitted in the separate folder;
  • When distilling with the *.pdf model Adobe Acrobat Distiller must be set at "PDF X-3";
  • In the cases of "closed" files the overlaps for cutting, synchronizing and folding marks must be arranged by the customer itself;

 

SUBMISSION OF THE COMPUTER FILES TO THE REPROCENTER

 

  • The files of the size of up to 5 Mb can be sent by e-mail by agreeing on this in advance with the person responsible for the execution of the project;
  • The data can be sent (on prior notice) to our FTP server. Access name and password will be provided by previously calling us;
  • CD-R, CD-RW, DVD and other digital medium are used;
  • It is required to submit black and white or colour final layout (not necessarily in the original size);
  • If it is possible please submit the proper *.pdf control file (for comparing, what has to be and what is opened from the file;
  • The customer must inform the employees of the reprocenter, what options (LPI, "mirror", crops, mounting openings) have to be set while producing the positives.

  • Prior to preparing the layout it is recommended to contact the employees of the reprocenter and to verify the properties for the preparation of the publication or the product for printing;
